Barrett testifies before House Committee on issue of tourism funding
PA Dutch CVB President & CEO Christopher Barrett testified earlier this week (9/14/10) before the PA House Tourism and Recreation Development Committee concerning the future disposition of tourism funding. This is a first step in a new dialogue with the committee, which hopefully will yield alternative funding solutions for the TPA Grant program. Our industry is currently researching other state tourism funding models and is preparing to present those models (as well as best practices) to the committee at a future meeting. The House members asked many thoughtful as well as poignant questions about our current funding levels (and marketing activities) and how they have affected our daily operations. Questions? Contact Chris Barrett, 717-391-6005.
